Terry Barclay
Terry joined his Father, George, at the start of the 1973 season. A hesitant
start saw him struggling, but he soon got to grips with things, producing
some memorable performances.

The highlights for Terry were a top score of 14 pts
at home to the Ellesmere Port ‘Gunners’, in which
the’Stars’ won 51-27. He also guested for a man
short Chesterton, top scoring for them with 10 pts
at Boldon Stadium.

One to remember was when he won the Best
Pairs at the Boldon track, riding with his dad
George. Terry scored 12 pts including four wins
as the pair romped to a clear win on a rain soaked

Terry rode 31 meetings for an average of 4.66. He
also rode in 8 challenge and friendly meetings,
one of which he top scored with 7pts against‚ Hull
Vikings which we lost 38-40 at Hull.
